What is grafting? It is the horticultural artificial method in which a part of one plant is transplanted onto another plant.

The purpose of grafting is usually to retain the main characteristics of one plant onto a stronger and larger one. Grafting is done for two reasons:

  • Either to replace one plant with another
  • Or to combine the main characteristics and properties of the two plants together.

With grafting, it is also possible to have large and productive trees or other plants in a relatively short period of time.
