This review is about the starter: Manual - Electric

I am referring to the BGB 6000 model,
with a maximum power of 5.5 kW and continuous power of 5.0 kW.
It incorrectly states 6.6 kW as the maximum power in the product presentation.
In addition, it incorrectly lists the gasoline tank capacity as 27 liters! The tank, measured by me three times, has a total capacity of 17 liters (I mention this for informational purposes and not as a disadvantage).
I now use it on a farm and the residence I have there, since there is no connection to the PPC grid, but it has also been used as an alternative supply in a regular home during power outages.
It is truly an amazing and high-quality product, with sturdy construction, immediate start with the starter. It starts literally in a flash as soon as the starter is pressed, and it provides stable current for operating sensitive devices. At the moment you need it, it will work without letting you down! It can work tirelessly for several hours. Since the fuel tank is 17 liters, the manufacturer incorrectly states 27 liters! Its consumption always varies depending on the loads connected at any given moment, perhaps approximately around 1.50 liters per hour.
With the proper wiring, with the help of a specialist, it can be connected to the house through a transfer switch and, in the event of a power outage from PPC (it should be noted that, if we want this to be legal, there is a procedure; an application must be made to PPC, etc. It requires an entire process).
Now, with the flip of the transfer switch and pressing the generator start button, or alternatively with automatic transfer, which means automatic activation of the generator in the event of a power outage from the grid, you can have electrical supply in your home for as long as the grid outage lasts. It can safely run almost all household appliances (it is not necessary for all of them to run at the same time, so that you save fuel and do not overload it unnecessarily).
Personally, in the house through this generator the following appliances operate without any problem: air conditioning, water heater (when I use it, I disconnect other large loads from the connection to avoid overload), fan heater, water supply pumps in the farm and the house, televisions, computers, lighting, LED lamps, security cameras, etc., all without problems. Electric stove (I use two burners or only the oven, depending on the case, to avoid overload), hammer drill, grinder, jigsaw, lawn mower, etc., operate without problem!
I have it permanently installed to operate inside a closed ventilated space, while it has an attached metal spiral exhaust extension, with a hole in the wall outside the space where it is located. For safety, I have placed carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide detectors next to the generator in case of any exhaust gas leak inside the space.
In general, I am absolutely satisfied after almost two years of nearly daily operation!
I change the oil before the interval recommended by the manufacturer, as well as properly and frequently clean the air filter.
Transporting it, if needed, is easy thanks to the quality wheels and the folding transport handle, even on rough ground.
The entire generator and its components are of high quality and luxurious finish! It looks like an electrical work of art with high design and aesthetics. When I received it and took it out of its packaging, I found myself in front of a machine that literally looked like a car engine.
And think about it, these words are written by someone who owns 4 generators, two of which are Bormann Pro, so I can say that I have some relevant experience.
It has three outlets, two standard 14 A and one industrial-type 32 A, which can provide uninterrupted continuous supply for 6 consecutive hours at full load without the outlet overheating (the generator is 220 Volt - not three-phase).
It has automatic circuit breakers for each output, so they trip if there is a problem.
It has a quality voltage stabilizer, a 12 Volt 8.3 Ampere output for charging batteries, etc.
It has a readable electronic LCD display, which alternates at intervals the voltage readings, the electrical frequency (Hz), the operating time since the generator was first activated, as well as the operating time of the last activation.
This display is especially useful for calculating the hours when the oil change should be done, etc., as well as fuel consumption.
It has IP44 waterproofing, which means the device can receive water splashes. Of course, it is not waterproof!
This generator has Class A certification, which means it is considered high quality and capable of providing reliable electrical power. The manufacturer recommends it for both home and professional use, such as construction sites, etc.
It has written Euro 5 certification, which means you can operate it in countries where there are quality restrictions on the use of combustion engines.
It has two bolts in different places where we can attach grounding cables to the earth for our required safety.
What I understand is that this generator, if we operate it without pushing it beyond its limits with excessive loads, will last us many, many years without any problem! At the moment we need it and with immediate activation!
The 5,000 Watts of permitted continuous operation are more than enough for any home with reasonable use at all times, or even for measured professional use.
    I highly recommend it!
(I made the description as lengthy as possible so that the prospective buyer can know as much as possible about this tool.)
    I AM COMING BACK:
    September 2024
Consumption measurement on gasoline with light load, meaning full house lighting and appliances such as refrigerator, television, etc.
Consumption: 1.29 L (liters per hour of continuous use)
    Purchase price per liter: €1.69
January 2025 - The generator continues to do its job without any problem!!
I continue to be absolutely satisfied with the generator.
Immediate activation with the starter every time I need it, without any problem!

P.S. - if needed, it can also be started very easily with its rope! (Manual starter).

  • It has worked twice so far because I have connected it with a power outage switch, as we have electric shutters among other things. You don't even realize when the power goes out. Of course, not for water heater and stove, but all the household needs are covered and more.
