Description

Description

This book clearly and originally examines Turkey's internal politics from 1920 and makes forecasts about the transformation of its political system.

The author has a deep understanding of the situation in the neighboring country and thoroughly analyzes the trajectory of the 'non-privileged.' These are the individuals that Recep Tayyip Erdoğan politically represented from 2002 onwards.

For the first time, the Greek reader understands the mentality that permeates the Justice and Development Party, its ideology, and the transformation it brought to Turkish society.

The terms 'second post-revolution' and 'non-privileged' were chosen to emphasize the parallel that exists between the post-revolution of 1974 and the rise of the non-privileged to power in 1981 in Greece, and the corresponding developments in Turkey.

This parallel, as highlighted and explained clearly in the book, does not pertain to the internal dynamics of the two countries but is based on the international values expressed through neoliberalism, which has prevailed in both countries since 1980.

These values were expressed in Greece through the Left from 1980 onwards. In Turkey, on the other hand, the international values were expressed through the 'Right-Islam.'
