    Disks for use in NAS (Network-Attached Storage) systems that provide access to data from all devices on a network. They are designed for continuous operation with other such disks in RAID configurations to protect data from failures.

  • Communication Protocol

    Hard drives communicate with the computer through a protocol.

    There are two protocols for HDD hard drives, SATA (for simple use) and SAS (high reliability for corporate use).

    SATA III

    A modern hard disk connection standard that offers twice the maximum speed compared to SATA II.

    The majority of hard disks use this standard.

    The motherboard must support it for the disk to operate at its maximum potential.
