Description

The sideboard from HomeMarkt is ideal for decorating your living room and helps you store your tableware and other items, while its surface provides space for placing decorative elements. 

It is made of chipboard, a wood derivative made from small pieces of wood and sawdust, and externally it has a melamine coating, which offers resistance to scratches, abrasion, and corrosives. 

It is recommended to combine it with a mirror or a decorative painting hung on the wall above the sideboard to create a complete style in the space.

Materials

The sideboard is made of 18mm thick melamine. Melamine is a type of wood in the form of particleboard (panel). As a material, it is very durable and has high hardness. Therefore, it is a synthetic material with a very hard surface, making it highly resistant to scratches, abrasion, and stains.

Maintenance

The melamine, which is the coating material, is very easy to clean from stains thanks to its hard surface. You can wipe all surfaces with a damp cloth and that is enough to make your buffet look like new again. For stubborn stains, you can use a mild cleaner.

    Assembly in some cases requires a second person due to the weight and it is not for complete beginners, but it can be done with a hammer and a screwdriver.
    Regarding the legs that I read about, indeed they are hard plastic and are screwed onto the wood, so the wood screws might fail us, so avoid dragging it. However, after tightening and nailing, it is sturdy.
    Finally, the instructions are one page but are sufficient. Be careful because there are two types of hinges for the cabinets.

    It is beautiful and exactly as it looks in the photos. The wood is quite sturdy and uniform, however the legs of the furniture are poor quality. When I placed it in the desired position, we tried to move it slightly to the right and left to align it. However, the 2 legs of the furniture came off from the wood of the base that they were screwed into and broke. It requires great care when moving it.
