The variety is productive, lateral-fruiting, and semi-late, suitable for semi-mountainous and many mountainous areas, where the last spring frost can occur until April 12. It originates from California, University of Davis, and the bud break begins 16 days after the very early Payne.

• Tree characteristics: Mid-late variety with a lateral-fruiting degree of 90%, semi-lateral branching, with weak to moderate vegetative vigor.
• Fruit-bearing speed: Very fast, with female flowers appearing in the first year of planting and catkins in the 4th year. Full fruiting begins from the 9th or 10th year.
• Productivity: Very good, with slight sensitivity to bacterial blight and minimal to anthracnose.
• Pollinator varieties: Mainly Franquette or Fernor and complementary Ronde de Montignac or Meylannaise.

Nut characteristics: Walnut-shaped, ovate to short elongated, with very good and attractive appearance. Average nut weight: 11.5-13g, kernel percentage: 48-52%. Kernel color is light, Extra grade, and kernel extraction from the shell is easy.

The fruit-bearing trees are available in 3-liter pots and pruned to a height of 1.20 meters for easy transportation.
