Tasting characteristics: The Assyrtiko by AGELI is a wine that impresses. The vineyard's microclimate combined with its age (16 years) have contributed to the creation of a dynamic wine. Half of the harvest matures in Austrian barrels that are 31 years old and hold 1,000 liters, while the rest relaxes in cement egg amphorae and stainless steel tanks. Batonage is applied with fine lees in all three cases. In the glass, its variety is easily distinguished, with flavors of fruits, herbs, and a minerality that comes from the area's microclimate. The sharp acidity in the mouth and the volume as a result of the batonage produce a wine suitable for all occasions.
