Also, the smart functions of an MPPT controller regarding battery charging and equalization guarantee better charging and maintenance, resulting in an extended battery life. Based on the above, MPPT charge controllers are ideal for larger systems where it is worth the additional collection of 20% or more energy and for cases where the voltage of the solar array is significantly higher than the battery voltage, e.g. using home panels.
