For my first time buying something to sharpen butcher knives, it's very good. It's just that the knives are large and almost halfway they reach the next wheel and can easily catch you. When you turn it on, you wait for it to reach its speed and then you start. When you turn it off, it might keep spinning for about a minute by itself. It's sturdy, I can't deny that. Buy it without fear. For me, after 2 to 3 knives it got a bit warm and by the fifth it was hot. I stopped and started again after about 20 minutes with a fan blowing from a distance because it was hot. The accessories for the top with the magnifying glass didn't help me, so I removed them. The others close to the wheel I put on, but when I wanted to put it in its box, they were hitting by millimeters so I removed those too. It helps a lot to have a lamp behind to light from above, even if it's a desk lamp.
