I can't say I was thrilled. Perhaps with the use of an external microphone the quality improves noticeably, but as a recording quality out of the box it is a typical device that brings to mind previous decades. The controls, the operating system, the screen certainly do not remind one of the modern digital era. The playback speaker is of relatively low quality, and transferring the files to another source is considered necessary for any processing. As for durability, time will tell, but I would definitely not buy it again.

It is a reliable audio recording device. It records sound clearly even when it is at low volume or at a distance. It is easy to carry, fits in a bag or pocket, but it is not tiny. It is relatively easy to use by a blind person, at least for its basic functions. It turns off quickly and if you forget it on, its batteries (I use commercial ones, 2 AAA) drain very quickly. It is good to have a second set of batteries available if you are out of the house/office and will be recording for many hours. This is the second device I have bought. My first one freezes from time to time, but after years and a lot of use. Its files are easily transferred to a laptop and you can delete them to leave all its available space empty.
