Matte acrylic paints, water-based and specially formulated for airbrushes. The Model Air color range contains the most comprehensive selection of military colors used in recent history, including the colors from World War I and II, as well as modern ones. Each color is based on extensive research by our experts on existing and previous military references, providing the modeler with the maximum possible historical accuracy.
Model Air can be used directly or thinned with Vallejo Airbrush Thinner or Flow Improver. It is recommended to prepare the surface before applying Model Air in multiple layers. The paints dry very quickly and create a homogeneous coating of exceptional durability, preserving even the smallest detail of the model. For applying these colors with an airbrush, an air pressure of 15 – 20 PSI or 0.5 to 1 kg is suggested. Naturally, Model Air can also be applied with a brush. For proper maintenance of the airbrush, the use of Vallejo Airbrush Cleaner is recommended.
Safety: Model Air is not flammable and contains no solvents. Also, see the certified product safety information on the Safety page.
Packaging: Model Air is available in 17 ml./0.57 fl.oz. bottles with a dropper. This packaging prevents the evaporation and drying of the paint in the container, allowing it to be used in minimal quantities and stored for a long time.
