The Vallejo color pastes are a selection of natural and synthetic pigments chosen for their durability and excellent lightfastness. Their extremely fine grinding of particles makes mixing and application to models and dioramas easy.

The range of pigments includes a series of colors selected to represent wear and corrosion caused by conditions of heavy use and exposure in vehicles and buildings. They depict the dust that has settled on tank tracks, the rust on armor, and the broad range of effects caused by climatic and geographical conditions.

The pigments can be applied dry, directly with a brush to the model, as they have excellent adhesion. They can also be stabilized with Thinner when used to depict dry mud or accumulated dust. With Pigment Binder, the pigments can be used to create volumes, such as accumulated dirt and mud. Painting tools are cleaned with water.
