The Motul Eco Lite 8100 is a 100% synthetic engine oil - Fuel Economy - with a special formulation for the latest generation of downsized engines, according to the new Dexos1 TM - GEN2 specification from General Motors, to prevent the phenomenon of low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI – Low Speed Pro-Ignition).

The 2nd generation GEN2 specifications, defined by General Motors, concern turbocharged direct injection gasoline engines (TGDI), which inhibit the phenomenon of uncontrolled LSPI ignition, which causes knock combustion and potentially serious engine damage.

Additionally, this particular Motul oil is also recommended for Honda, Subaru, and Toyota gasoline engines.
