  • Variety

    Cabernet Franc

    Often used in blends with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, but also produces excellent single-varietal wines. It has a lighter body than Cabernet Sauvignon, with aromas of red fruits (raspberry, cherry), characteristic vegetal notes (pepper, tomato leaves), and sometimes graphite.

    Merlot

    It gives wines with soft tannins, medium acidity, and aromas of red fruits (cherry, plum), often with notes of herbs or chocolate. They are rounder and softer on the palate compared to Cabernet Sauvignon.

    Agiorgitiko

    It can produce from rosé and light red wines with aromas of fresh red fruits (strawberry, cherry), to dense, aged wines with aromas of plum jam, spices, and chocolate. The tannins are usually velvety.

From the region of Achinos, in Central Greece, Cyrus One is the "second" label of La Tour Melas, created by Kyros Melas on his wonderful estate in Phthiotis.

Cyrus One has a dark ruby color, beautifully vibrant. It reveals a balanced bouquet of berries, blueberries, and raspberries, accompanied by subtle floral aromas, while the whole is touched with notes of smoked meat and oak. Soft and round texture, with silky but firm tannins, it finishes with a long aftertaste reminiscent of cherries, blueberries, and cloves.
