The ISF that this pedal has gives you the capabilities (and I say capabilities because the sound spectrum can be quite large) to have (on the left) the crystal clear heavy metal sound of the British school... (Judas Priest, Iron Maiden for example) and on the other side (on the right) the rich thrash sound of the USA school... (Metallica for example). (#Attention, the options are just examples#) As for the "dirtiness" of the gain, it provides it abundantly and easily... Now, as for the other two options, level and tone, there are many factors such as guitar, pickups, playing style, personal preferences, amplifier, and many more... that you discover every time the power light turns on... a very good product that you won't regret... Another element of it is its weight... you can call it sturdy or heavy... solid construction, but I don't think it's a big problem since the non-slip base keeps it stable... the only thing you could say as a disadvantage is that I would prefer it with a pedal instead of a button-switch... of course, this is also the guitarist's preference, but after a while, you forget about it or even ignore it if you play songs that don't require off-on...
