Thyme is a low and hardy shrub, about 30 - 35cm tall, that emits a pleasant and strong aroma. It has purple flowers and mainly blooms in the barren and rocky soils of Mediterranean countries, Asia, and North America.

By drying its oil-green leaves, we get thyme intended for culinary use, which wonderfully flavors:

• sausages
• many sauces
• soups
