Acrylic Protection Varnish Manetti

Acrylic final varnish for icon painting to protect gilded surfaces. It protects gold and silver leaf from external conditions and gives the gilded surface a shiny finish.

• Apply dabbing, with a brush or spray
• Dries in approximately 4 hours
• Once dry, the surface acquires a clear and bright protective layer
• Protective for gilded surfaces
• Prevents oxidation of the leaves
• Before application, the surface must be clean and dry
• Store in a cool (below 20°C) and dry place, tightly closed and away from exposure to sunlight or heat
• Coverage: 7-10 square meters / 1 liter (when diluted)

Packaging: Glass container 100ml, 250ml, and 1000ml

Further instructions:

• Apply the varnish, diluted with an appropriate solvent, with a brush, dabbing, or spray.
• For spray application, dilute the first layer with 40-50%, after 6-8 hours apply a second layer diluted by 20-30%.
• For brush or dabbing application, dilute the first layer with 70-100%, after 6-8 hours apply a second layer diluted by 20-30%.
• When applying with a brush, it is important to do it as quickly and smoothly as possible, without pauses or interruptions. The varnish tends to dry within 15-30 minutes.
