The plate heat exchanger is a type of heat exchanger that is used as a heat transfer medium. During the process, heat is transferred from one medium to another without heat exchange.

The plate heat exchanger consists of corrugated plates assembled in a unique way. Between the plates, there are gaps through which two media circulate alternately: the heat absorption medium and the heat diffusion medium.

The device is sealed both externally and below the media, a process achieved in various ways. There are heat exchangers with screwed plates, which are extendable and facilitate different flow configurations.

There are various types of plate heat exchangers, with a preference for spiral heat exchangers, characterized by welding the different plates together.
