The tripod base allows crutches and canes to stand upright on their own without external assistance on any flat surface. It is very easy to install and fits all models of crutches and canes from FDI.

Its compact design and minimal weight allow the normal use of crutches and canes with the tripod installed. If required, you can lock the lower part of the tripod in a high position so that it no longer touches the ground.

Usage:

• The FDI tripod is designed to allow the elbow crutch to stand on its own on any flat surface.
• It can remain attached to the crutch. The crutches can be used normally with the tripod attached.

Installation:

• Firmly hold the walking aid tube with one hand and remove the anti-slip foot with the other hand.
• Place the FDI tripod on the floor in a flat, stable position.
• Gradually insert the lower end of the tube into the central hole of the tripod until it is firmly blocked.

Locking the tripod in a high position:

• Hold the crutch in one hand and the top part of the tripod in the other hand.
• Pull the tripod straight up towards the top of the crutch until it stops, and release it.

Releasing the tripod:

• Hold the crutch in one hand and the top part of the tripod in the other hand.
• Slightly rotate the tripod left or right, and it will return to its original position.

Attention: For the proper functioning of the tripod, it should only operate with the lower tube of the aid well centered. Usage precautions: While walking, the tripod should be in a high position; support should only be on the base.
