Battery separator MBR 12V-24V/160A. It can be used on boats, vehicles, or photovoltaic systems that have one main and one auxiliary battery.
The battery separator (MBR) is a power switch controlled by a microprocessor. Its features include:
- On boats or cars with a main starting battery and a secondary auxiliary battery.
- On photovoltaic systems with two batteries, one main and one auxiliary.
In 12V or 24V boats or vehicles, the auxiliary battery is charged only when the main battery is adequately charged. By connecting an MBR, the auxiliary battery is supplied when the starting battery reaches a voltage of 13.2V/26.4V for a duration of 60 seconds.
If a charger is connected to the auxiliary battery, the starting battery will also be charged as long as the voltage of the auxiliary remains >13.2V/26.4V for 5 seconds. If the engine does not run for an extended period, the starting battery will remain charged by the external charger.
The MBR will separate the two batteries if it detects voltage. There is a manual activation option for the MBR to start the engine using the auxiliary battery.
In photovoltaic systems, if the MBR is connected between the main and auxiliary battery, the auxiliary will be charged when the main's voltage reaches 13.2V/26.4V for 60 seconds.
