The Sedum burrito, also known as "burro’s tail," is characterized by its shorter, thicker, round leaves and "tails." The stems that emerge from the crown of the plant are densely covered with plump, gray-green leaves, which overlap like the coarse hairs on a donkey's tail. The leaves are less prone to breaking off the stem.
In the summer, the buds at the tips turn pink and begin to bloom. The plants grow as medium-sized hanging clusters, with densely grouped stems that easily cascade from the edge of a hanging basket.
