The Hanna Instruments Marine Calcium Reagent HI758-26 are reagents that allow quick and accurate measurements with the Marine Calcium Checker.

By simply adding 1 mL of the first reagent to the sample and one packet of the second reagent, the calcium concentration is determined by the color produced. Results are displayed in ppm of calcium with an expected range of 200 to 600 ppm.

For accurate measurements, the sample must be free of residues. The cuvette should be dry and free of fingerprints, oils, or dirt before placement. To avoid bubbles, remove them by gently swirling or tapping the cuvette.

After the reading, it is preferable to dispose of the sample immediately, as it can cause permanent stains on the glass.

Measurement procedure:

• Zero the Checker with your vial inside.
• Place a 10 ml water sample in the vial and add the reagent.
• Insert your vial into the Checker.
• Press the button and read the results.
