    It is a deep dark blue.
    The color is beautiful and the flow is good.
    Care is needed as it stains hands immediately and is difficult to clean.
    Comparatively, both Waterman Serenity and Diamine Sargasso Sea are slightly darker, slightly brighter (shiny) with slightly better flow (the Atramentis is a bit more watery, the Waterman more oily).
    The De Atramentis seems to leave fewer highlights than the Waterman.
    The most important difference is in the cost. The De Atramentis is more expensive than the Waterman Serenity and much more expensive than the Sargasso Sea.
