Ignition Timing Light for adjusting ignition timing on gasoline engines with standard or transistor ignition systems. The ignitions can be set for 6-Volt as well as 12-Volt. (For 6 Volt ignition, an external power source of 12 Volt is required.)
A very bright xenon lamp and a special converging lens ensure optimal visibility of the fixed timing signal even at rotational speeds above 8000 rpm in field applications. Connect the timing light gun to a 12V battery using the crocodile clips and induction pickup directly to the ignition wire near the plug.
The engine's ignition timing should always be adjusted during engine warm-up, and the cold air vane of the carburetor should be fully open. During measurement and adjustment, the engine should run at its original speed.
