The heritage of Opihr Oriental Spiced Gin is firmly rooted in the ancient spice route. Traditionally, merchants traveled thousands of miles along the route, trading exotic spices and herbs from distant lands.
Opihr Oriental Spiced Gin is produced from exotic botanical extracts that have been carefully selected by Opihr's Master Distiller, including spicy cubeb berries from Indonesia, black pepper from India, and coriander from Morocco. These ingredients find their final destination at the oldest distillery in England, where it has been distilled using the traditional method since 1761. Opihr Oriental Spiced Gin offers notes of citrus balanced with rich, earthy aromas and soft spices.
Opihr is a legendary region famed for its wealth, which thrived during the reign of King Solomon. The king regularly received shipments of gold, silver, and spices from Opihr, and while its exact location remains a mystery, it is believed to have been in the East along the ancient Spice route.
