Let me start by saying that I wanted a simple blend to drink my daily espresso at a normal price. How wrong I was.

The reason I decided to try this particular blend was that other coffees from the same store have good reviews, as well as its description: "100% specialty arabica espresso blend, sourced from Brazil, Colombia, Ethiopia, and Nicaragua. Its flavor profile is citrus, chocolate, and nuts."

I thought okay, it will have a basic acidity. Guess what! From the flavor profile, I found only nuts - and more specifically, charred nuts.

My goodness, it tastes worse than coffee you would buy from a rundown shop in Metaxourgio just to balance out the hangover after a tough night. I find it hard to believe it's only arabica because both the taste and the caffeine punch remind me of robusta!

I tried it as espresso, I tried it as freddo, even cold brew with ratios that wouldn't make your taste buds want to leave your mouth. Perhaps the only acceptable solution is cold brew, and that with a 100:10 - water:coffee ratio.

    Purchase date: September 11
The packaging OBVIOUSLY did not have a roasting date, but it did have an expiration date: June 30, 2025
I would like to believe it was roasted on 6/30/24 - based on the fact that it usually expires in a year - but I find it hard to.

As soon as I opened the bag, the coffee had the smell of coffee that had been sitting in there for about two years. Stale coffee, as we say in the village!

TLDR - don't spend your money here, go elsewhere.
