The Winery of Monemvasia was founded on September 20, 1997, in Monemvasia, Laconia, by George Tsimbidis, in an effort to revive the name MALVASIA, which referred to the Byzantine city of Monemvasia during the Franks, and thus the wine of Monemvasia. The region has a strong aeolian dynamism that, along with its geomorphological characteristics, makes it excellent for grape cultivation. It offers an ideal raw material for the production of high-quality wines.
A wine made from Mavroudi and Agiorgitiko that ages for 6 months in oak barrels.
