Their main characteristics are:

  • High transparency up to 92% and color stability over time.
  • Increased durability, at least 5 times greater than glass of the same thickness.
  • Reduced weight, 50% less than glass of the same thickness.
  • Resistance to ultraviolet UV radiation.
  • Available in thicknesses: 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm.
  • Upon order, they are also available in other thicknesses (e.g. 20mm, 30mm) and in various designs or textures (e.g. satin, phosphorescent, etc.).

The high strength and transparency of acrylic sheets have made them the most popular material for the construction of noise barriers. Additionally, their use is widespread in basketball backboards (thicknesses 10mm and 12mm).
