These are the sheets commonly known as "plexiglass."

Their main characteristics are:

• High transparency up to 92% and color stability over time.
• Increased strength, at least 5 times greater than glass of equal thickness.
• Reduced weight, 50% lighter compared to glass of equal thickness.
• Resistance to ultraviolet (UV) radiation.
• Available in stock with thicknesses of 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm.
• Available upon order in other thicknesses (e.g., 20mm, 30mm) and in various designs or textures (e.g., satin, phosphorescent, etc.).

The great strength and transparency of acrylic sheets have made them the most popular material for the construction of sound barriers. Additionally, their use is widespread in basketball backboards (thicknesses of 10mm and 12mm).
