Description

Johnnie Walker Double Black Label is a blended whisky created in the style of Black Label but with a richer smoky flavor.

The Master Blender, by mixing selected aged whiskies that naturally have a rich and smoky character with whiskies that have matured in charred oak barrels, managed to create a whisky with real character and deep flavor.

The taste is full-bodied and complex, while the smoke and peat are highlighted through the rich flavor of raisins and sultanas. Apples, pears, and orange zest add freshness, while creamy vanilla and spices add smoothness and sweetness to the palate.

Johnnie Walker Double Black Label is best enjoyed with water, to unlock both the complex layers of spices and smoke.

I had drunk it before, it was the best whisky I had ever tasted with an intense smoky flavor.

Now that I bought it again after a while, I could hardly detect any smoke aroma, it was like drinking regular black..
I don't know if I got a tampered batch or if something has changed..

It reminded me of my youthful years when a little glass would turn into a goal. It's not worth it. With that money, get something else. Very burnt. A lot of alcohol that covers up any other flavors and aromas. If you drink it after something else (not with a big price difference - let's say the Jura), you'll understand what kind of petrol we're talking about. With 10 euros more, you can get the Talisker, which is like day and night!!

Terrible... with 3 glasses from last night... we're talking about a headache, not nonsense. It's a shame because I bought two... and without a safety valve. I'll exchange it for a simple one and shipping is a gift

It is a satisfactory whiskey, smoky but the taste it produces in the mouth is a bit "cheap" for its price. Given that at its price you can find, for example, "Black Barrel" and "Glenfiddich 12", I would say that it is a bad value for money

For this money... Just go somewhere else. It's not bad. It's probably the second best Johnnie (the first one being the Green). Just go for a better single malt at this price by adding another 5 euros and you will find amazing whiskies like Arran. If you insist on blends, check out Pig's Nose for less money.

Whiskara. Better than the black, very nice taste, on the level of Glenfiddich 12 and Jameson Black Barrel.

I bought it three years ago and when I opened it, I honestly didn't expect it to be like this for a blended whiskey. Nice smoky and peppery aromas, it is pleasant to drink, but that's about it. Definitely more intense and interesting than the regular black. It leaves a nice burn in the mouth, but not the aftertaste. The price is a bit high, but that's a general downside. Whiskey prices have increased lately (I bought it for 28 three years ago). At the current price of 32-34, you can find better options, but it's a matter of personal taste. However, it is a good choice for smokers' friends and not only. When the bottle is finished, I won't buy it again for my collection, but definitely in a bar with suitable cheese accompaniment.

A whiskey with plenty of fruit aromas and a smoky finish. I consider it to be very expensive for what it is, and at this price there are many other worthy whiskies that I prefer in terms of taste.

A different Johnnie from the black. Intense flavor, quite spicy, without leaving anything special as an aftertaste. Personally, I don't find it better. However, taste is a subjective matter. Its price is excessive. At this price, but also much cheaper, I prefer other whiskies.

Having drunk quite a lot of whiskey now, I don't believe that there is any Johnnie that is worth the price range. If it was considerably cheaper, maybe it would be worth it. There are many whiskey classes that are superior

After a friend's recommendation for this specific whiskey, I immediately went and bought it. However, having seen the reviews on Scrutj, I was in a bit of a dilemma about whether it would be worth it or not. Generally, whiskeys are subjective. There is no objective review or criteria when comparing whiskeys of the same category, same age, etc. Personal opinion, the whiskey is EXCELLENT!!! It has an incredible aroma and as soon as you take the first sip, you immediately understand what we're talking about. Many flavors and it leaves you with a wonderful taste after you swallow. A very important observation is that you don't even feel the alcohol. My girlfriend, who doesn't like whiskey and never drinks it, had it with an ice cube and she liked it too. It's definitely worth someone trying it and I believe they won't be disappointed!

A special whiskey that gives you this uniqueness through the flavors it produces. After a tiring day, I believe it is the ideal drink for relaxation. However, I think the price is excessive, at 23-25 euros it would be fine. So, 4 out of 5 stars!

I quite like the regular Johnnie Black more, and for some reason the double black reminds me of a denser red label, like a double red... I bought it along with a bottle of Bruichladdich Classic Laddie for my cellar, which is far superior (it has special effects with a drop of water or ice, oils everywhere), of course, it cost 20 euros more than that and a Bulleit Bourbon at 28. I always want Bulleit and Bruichladdich to be in my cellar. I won't choose this particular one again and I will definitely prefer the regular Johnnie Black.

It is a standard choice for a tasty pleasure and relaxation after a tiring day. Its taste is intense and unique as much as....
Of course, it is not suitable for excessive consumption and certainly not for mixing with water, ice, etc. I have seen it being ordered in an entertainment center and drunk with Coca-Cola!!!
I think a price around 20€ would be ideal for this product, and for this reason, I give it 4 instead of 5 stars.

Of course, not everyone may have the financial opportunity to choose it more often, but for those who can and know about drinks, they have been completely satisfied! I will continue to offer it!
