Load Index

The load index refers to the maximum allowable weight per tire. The tires we will install on our car must have a load index that can support the gross weight. In order to select the appropriate load index and avoid instability during the movement of our car, we divide the maximum gross weight (kg) of the vehicle by 4 and the result of the division corresponds to a load index. For example, a tire with a load index of 115 can carry 1215kg.

The speed index is the maximum speed for a tire when it has the correct pressure and is used under load. The speed index is represented by a letter at the end of the sidewall markings, after the load index number. A tire with a speed index of V, for example, has a maximum speed of 240 km/h.

Depending on the rolling resistance of the tire, the fuel economy it provides ranges from category A, which indicates the best fuel economy, to category E, which corresponds to the lowest fuel economy. Fuel-efficient tires require less energy to roll. This translates to less fuel consumption and reduced impact on the environment.

"Grip on Wet Surfaces" is the ability of the tire to adhere to wet surfaces. The performance is classified between categories A and E. Tires with a high grip index on wet surfaces immobilize the vehicle more quickly on wet surfaces when the brake is applied fully."

Noise

The noise index refers to the external noise produced by a tire while driving. The noise level is classified into categories A, B, or C. The rolling noise of the tire is measured in decibels. Low noise level tires have a value between 67 and 71 dB. For higher noise levels, the indicated value for the sound waves is between 72 and 77 dB.
