I have had them for 8 years, always plugged in and operating, and I listen to music via a Bluetooth receiver either from my phone or my computer, and of course movies since they are my main computer speakers. To start, I should mention that after three years plugged in and turned on, they work just fine, except for a small problem that arose from a power surge from the electricity company, which burned out their transformer. I replaced it with a 12V transformer I had from another device. They work as before, although I have the impression the volume is slightly reduced. Not particularly important, but in any case, I consider them durable over time. Their build quality seems quite good for their price, and the material of the cabinet (MDF wood) is another plus. Their volume, for me, is more than satisfactory (for a room up to 40 sq.m., of course). Personally, in a small two-story house with 20 sq.m. downstairs and 20 sq.m. upstairs, if I want to really enjoy them, I go downstairs and turn them up all the way, and they are more than satisfactory. They easily overpower all other sounds and can let the music sweep you away. Upstairs, the volume is still quite good but doesn’t fill your head. To my untrained ear, their sound is quite good, and a friend of mine who is a sound engineer and has listened to them told me they are fine—not studio quality, of course, but when I told him how much I paid for them, he was shocked (60 Euros). In general, trying them out with Pink Floyd tracks that I am familiar with and with quality recordings and music, the result satisfied me. Of course, the depth of the bass and the overall sound cannot be compared to a 150-watt speaker, but for their size and without a subwoofer, I think they are very good. They do lack in bass compared to 2.1 speakers with a subwoofer, but they win in frequency response fidelity compared to the latter. For rock, punk, jazz, classical, etc., I would recommend them; not for bass-heavy electronic music. In short, excellent value for money, even though there are now some larger models from the company at a very similar price. If I were buying today, I would definitely look at the larger ones, assuming the company maintains consistent quality across all its models—mainly out of greed.

Very nice speakers for listening to music in the background! They are exactly as Edifier describes them, speakers that you can put in the library, they are beautiful and produce very nice frequencies (from 100hz to 20000hz, so not the entire sound spectrum).

What you need to know, in order to decide if they are for you, is WHAT kind of music you listen to...
- If you listen to jazz, instrumentals, blues, rebetika piano, guitar, vocals, and generally non-electronic music (they also work for goa trance :p), then they are a great choice for 50 euros.
- If you want them for your computer and to accompany all the sweet moments of "kagouria" (like Lil Jon, bass, Skrillex, and anything else that pleases 14-year-old friends), then they are NOT intended for this use.

Their volume is very good (they can easily cover environmental sounds) and it doesn't distort no matter how loud you turn it up,
but I repeat, to avoid misunderstandings, they don't have rich bass (the lowest is around 70-80hz).
Personally, I wanted quality at an affordable price and luckily I found it with these speakers!
(I also have a subwoofer, of course, for when I need to hear the entire sound spectrum).

I believe they are ideal for those who want to create a very thin hi-fi system in the living room because you can get these for 50 euros, and an Mp3 player (or even your laptop/mobile) and you have transformed the atmosphere of the space through their crystal-clear sound. :)
