And the time came after about 6-7 months of owning the subwoofer, around 1/2019, when I made the purchase. Well, what always bothers me in the home cinema and that's why I delay making a comment about what I buy is that the settings are difficult. The problem was that I bought a new amplifier, Denon AVR X 1500H, and the Monitor Audio MRW 10 subwoofer, so I had to adjust the amplifier and the subwoofer from the beginning. At first, I had done an automatic setup with the amplifier's microphone, but it was a big failure, so I reset it and started over. In the end, the only thing I adjusted on the amplifier was the speaker distances, and I didn't give any dBs to the speakers and the subwoofer. The only thing I did was adjust the Hz to 80 from the amplifier, as this setting is crucial. The confusion in the whole situation is that the subwoofer, when receiving a strong and clean signal from a DVD or CD, doesn't need many adjustments. Where I lost the bass was when it played radio and television channels, antenna, etc. The performance of the subwoofer would decrease with the subwoofer's volume set to the middle. The bass from DVDs and CDs was good. I was used to the performance of a Pioneer 8-inch 110-watt subwoofer from a lower category that I had before, it played well with a little intensity that I gave it, quite loudly. So, I thought it would be somewhat similar with the new subwoofer. In the end, I increased the volume (gain) on the Monitor Audio and from what I see, everything is as it should be. The bass fills the 25-30 square meters of the living room. It is deep and clear, even though I don't raise the volume too much, it fills the space very well. It blends very well with the other speakers and is of high quality. My old subwoofer played well, but it didn't have it in the final stages. The Monitor Audio is more linear, it has consistently good quality from the beginning to the final stages, while the Pioneer that I had played well but changed its behavior as it was pushed. The Monitor Audio handles everything more comfortably and with quality. Due to living in an apartment and because my wife and children don't want high volumes, I don't push it, but even if I give it some intensity when the situation allows, the Monitor Audio doesn't say no. I would describe it as musical and high-quality, and you can feel it in movies, especially in action scenes, without it becoming tiring in any case. I even beg for action scenes. So, to conclude, in order to show its teeth and quality, it needs proper setup and adjustment. Otherwise, nothing happens. I believe this applies to all subwoofers, as my previous one also troubled me until I worked with it correctly. I also believe that as a subwoofer works, its behavior changes, because I see that over time, I might need to lower its intensity, as it plays and settles, and the amplifier on top of it drives the membrane more easily. It's called break-in. I already see that as it plays, it fills more, even though I haven't changed the settings for a long time. The same happened with my previous subwoofer. Anyone who has a subwoofer for a long time might have noticed something similar. That's it. I should add that I bought it for 320 euros, including shipping. For this price, it's good.
