H Dioscorea (Dioscorea villosa), also known as Wild / Four-leaf Yam, Colic / Rheumatism Root or Devil's Bones, is a climbing plant with a cylindrical stem. Its leaves are heart-shaped and its flowers are white or green.
It is used for osteoporosis (consumption of dried root, infusion, and tincture), rheumatoid arthritis (decoction), as well as for relief of pain in the uterus and ovaries (decoction), dysmenorrhea (decoction), and intestinal colic (decoction).

Infusion: Once the water has boiled in the kettle, remove it from heat, add the recommended dose of the herb (usually 1 teaspoon), and let it sit covered for 5 minutes. Strain and drink.
Precautions: Avoid during pregnancy.
