  • I have it with 6GB DDR3 and a GeForce GT 730 2GB DDR5 and it works great. It is good for multitasking and performs well in gaming, although I don't play any demanding games (like Paladins or CS:GO). The highest temperature I have seen is 42 degrees with the stock cooler. It is perfect for basic use, I recommend it to someone who wants a very budget CPU

Very good processor from Intel, economical, very fast for rendering in Sony Vegas 14 Pro in less than half an hour for a file that is almost an hour long! With a price of just 60 euros!
It never gets hot, it has never gone above 45 degrees with its own cooler.
*I have it with an SSD so it can show its true power. + I have 16GB DDR3 RAM.
Negatives: 1. When I render, I can't use the PC for anything else, the CPU usage hits 99%.
    2. Not suitable for gaming, but it is powerful enough for heavy use.

The G1840 is a little star considering its price of around 40€. It handles office tasks, HTPC functions, and even games when combined with a decent GPU. It has low power consumption and decent performance. Honestly, I can't find anything negative about it, especially considering its low price.

    P.S.
Some people hear Celeron and start reciting the poem "Celerons are garbage," "Celerons can't handle anything," and other more exaggerated statements than Mykonos... These are not the Celerons from the time of the s478 socket. When you pay 40€ and get this kind of performance, you can't help but be satisfied.

For the money, it's the best. Having set up dozens of machines with modern Intel Celeron processors, I have been impressed with their performance. The performance is comparable to, and even better than, the dual-core Core 2 Duo E8400 3GHz and the quad-core Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.6GHz. To understand what Intel offers you for 35 to 40 euros, the aforementioned Core 2 processors cost 250 euros each when they were released eight years ago and were at the top of their category. They are still powerful today for almost all applications except gaming and professional applications. The G1840 with a Haswell generation Core processor offers you these performances for just 35 euros, along with 4GB of RAM, a cheap and good SSD like the Sandisk Ultra II, and Windows 10. It is a powerful desktop for office work and multimedia use such as music, movies, YouTube, etc. Buy it without fear and don't get stuck on the Celeron name. The modern models are very powerful for their price. Combine it with 4GB of RAM and definitely an SSD, otherwise you won't be able to take advantage of its true performance.
