The GROTECH BioPellet Reactor BPR-200 is a reactor for bio pellets for marine aquariums up to 3,000L. It can be used inside or outside the sump.

• Capacity for bio pellets: up to approximately 5,000 ml

Instructions for using Bio Pellets:

• Use 50 to a maximum of 200 ml of NP-Minus BioPellets for every 100 liters of water, depending on the nutrient levels in your aquarium water.
• To avoid bacterial overgrowth (bacterial bloom), it is recommended to gradually add the bio pellets over a period of about one week.
• Start preferably with approximately 30% of the normally required amount.
• It is recommended that the exit of the reactor is close to the inlet of the skimmer.
• The addition of bacteria promotes faster and more effective operation of the bio pellets.
• Warning: Bio pellets should not remain unstirred for long periods of time.

Information about Bio Pellets:

The NP-Minus BioPellets consist of 100% biodegradable polymers. They dissolve over a period of several months and serve as a carbon source for aerobic bacteria and other microorganisms. The pellets function as a food source for these microorganisms. Together with the nitrates and phosphates present in the aquarium water, they create bacterial biomass.
