Dichidia nummularia is an epiphytic climbing plant belonging to the genus Dichidia. It is native to Singapore and is known as Pebble Beach and Button Orchid, although the latter name is incorrect since it does not belong to orchids. The plant has wiry stems adorned with tiny lens-shaped opposite leaves. Its flowers are small and often insignificant.
In nature, Dichidia nummularia grows best in moist and porous substrates, and is often cultivated on round pieces of driftwood or in hanging baskets with pieces of coconut bark. It is non-toxic to humans and pets. The plant is also called "Pangorasophila" due to its resemblance to the pangolin. Dischidia "Pangolin Kisses" (Dischidia nummularia) is tropical and originates from Southeast Asia, and is also known as the ant plant because of its symbiosis with ants in nature. It is easy to care for and, under ideal conditions, can develop small white flowers.
