It has coarse grains and I think it is not for sensitive skin that needs gentle care. It is for skin types that can tolerate scrubbing, you feel the grains and if you don't have issues with irritation, redness, etc., it is nice.
I don't use it very often because I usually use BHA, but every now and then I want that intense feeling of cleanliness it leaves on the skin.
