Flogero 2021

Protected Geographical Indication Metsovo

Variety: Merlot

Region: Vineyards in Metsovo, Epirus, with controlled yield that does not exceed 350 kg per stremma. They are located at an altitude of 950 to 1050 meters, on a sloped ground composed of weathered schists. The climate is continental, with rain, frost, and heavy snowfall in winter and cool summers.

Harvest: First ten days of October.

Vinification: Destemming and immediate inoculation of the must combined with continuous maceration of the skins lasting about twenty-five days. I am 49. Until I was 47, I didn't drink dry wine because it left me with a bitterness and astringency. Until I tried, for example, the Vivid Country red dry and that's when I said this is a different drink. So I also tried the Flaming because it was more expensive. It was even better than the Vivid Country red. It goes down like velvet.
