The Sonoff S-MATE Extreme (also known as S-MATE2) is an ultra-compact module that transforms traditional wall switches into wireless remote controls. It uses advanced eWeLink-Remote technology, which is based on Bluetooth and offers much greater range and stability compared to old RF 433MHz technologies. It is the ideal solution for situations where there is no neutral wire in the switch box, allowing you to intelligently control relays (such as the Mini R4 or Basic R4) without additional wiring.

eWeLink-Remote Technology

The eWeLink-Remote technology is a revolution in local smart home control. It offers a range of up to 100-150 meters in open space (3 to 5 times greater than RF) and operates even if the home's Wi-Fi is out of service. Pairing is easily done through the app, without the need for physical access to the device, while devices equipped with an eWeLink-Remote receiver also function as local gateways for transmitting commands to other devices via the cloud.

Compatibility and Installation

The S-MATE2 has three inputs, allowing connection with single, double, or triple switches. It is compatible with both Toggle (fixed) and Momentary (push-button) switches, using a hidden switch on the side of the device. Thanks to its tiny size, it fits in all standard European and American electrical boxes, making it one of the most versatile solutions for modernizing traditional installations.
