Description

Orto Parisi Megamare is a refined Eau de Parfum that is sure to grab attention with its distinctive personality. With a volume of 50 ml, this fragrance combines unique notes that create a sense of freshness and depth.

Perfect for everyday use or special occasions, Megamare offers a unique experience that embodies the power of the sea and the freshness of the air. The Eau de Parfum type ratio ensures long-lasting wear and strong projection, making it an excellent choice for the modern man.

The True Olfactory Pyramid: The Ocean in a Bottle

Contrary to the common misconception that attributes sweet notes of pineapple, rose, or vanilla to Megamare, its true composition is an authentic ode to the element of water. At the top, we find fresh bergamot and lemon, while its heart overflows with intense marine notes such as seaweed, Calone, and Hedione. Its base, deep and seductive, is built on Ambroxan, cedar, and musk, creating a salty, metallic, and dark character that strongly evokes the sea breeze.

Unmatched Longevity and Explosive Intensity

As a pure Extrait de Parfum (and not just EDP), Megamare features an exceptionally high concentration of aromatic oils. While it is often mentioned that its longevity reaches 8 hours, the reality is that this is a phenomenon of a fragrance, as it remains on the skin for 12-14+ hours and on clothes for days. Its projection (sillage) is so impressive that 1 to 2 sprays are absolutely enough to fill a room, making your presence felt in the most dynamic way.

Concept & Unique Bottle Design

The artistic approach of the house is reflected in every detail. The Megamare bottle is a work of art that highlights the luxury and central concept of the fragrance. The impressive metallic cap with green oxidation symbolizes the corrosion caused by the salty sea water on the metal, while the top hides an insert of real shell from Haiti. Every element is carefully designed to complete the mysterious nautical experience.

Advantages & Instructions for Use

  • Purely Unisex Character: Its salty and woody nature makes it absolutely suitable for both men and women who love bold fragrances.
  • Application Caution: Due to its immense density, sparingly use is recommended. It is perfect as a signature scent, ideal both for open spaces in summer and for breaking the monotony of winter.
  • Uniqueness (Niche): It does not follow the norms of typical commercial perfumes. It is an eccentric choice that guarantees people will constantly ask you what fragrance you are wearing.

There are some fragrances that, as soon as you wear them, transport you and create images.
For example, the exceptional Terre d'Hermes Eau Givree Hermès takes you to wonderful beautiful gardens with lemon trees.
Another one of these travel-like fragrances is, of course, megamare.
Smelling it transports me to a wild sea where its waves crash powerfully against massive rocks on the shore.
As the gentleman correctly mentions in another review, this is truly how the god Poseidon would smell.
It is a watery fragrance that has nothing to do with any other aquatic fragrance you have smelled. For example, adg from Armani or light blue from Dolce Gabbana or from Bvlgari, etc. This smells like the sea, salt, and seaweed. It smells like the bottom of the sea, as if you have been swimming in the open sea for an hour and have just come out on the shore. It has no sweetness or mass appealing notes. It is wild in a special way and smells like the wild sea as time passes and becomes somewhat dark.
At the opening, we have something slightly sharp that is overshadowed by sea grasses, which is then followed by a salty, marine salt. This combination of seaweed, salt, and sea grasses lasts for 5+ hours, and then we reach a magical combination for the closing of musk with abroxan.
Maximum two sprays (personally, I put one on my wrist and one on the back of my neck) because more becomes excessively intense and cloying. To understand how intense it is, with two sprays, the entire space you are in fills up, and even when you leave, the scent will linger for a long time. On clothes, the scent lasts for weeks. Incredible longevity and projection, and of course, sillage, so be very careful with the sprays.
Truly, in this category of fragrances, megamare has no rival in longevity.
For this reason, I believe the fragrance is not suitable for people who want to change fragrances multiple times throughout the day, as the scent of megamare literally does not leave the skin almost at all during the day.
Definitely try it before purchasing, as even though it is an aquatic fragrance, it is not mass appealing, but special because it tries to convey the wildness of the sea and not the cocktail under the sun on the beach with a hint of sea like most aquatic fragrances, and for this reason, many may not like megamare. Personally, however, I love it and consider it one of the modern wonders of perfumery

A unique fragrance with excellent longevity and projection. If there were a god Poseidon, I believe this is how it would smell. Like the unexplored depths of the ocean. With all its variations, depending on the skin and the number of sprays. If you overdo it, it will produce an animalistic, port-like sea scent, with seaweed and moss. If used correctly, it will leave you with a feeling of freshness, intense saltiness, and cleanliness at the same time. In moderation, it is wonderful and different; with many sprays, it becomes dirty, excessively salty, and animalistic.
