Cachaca Pitu is considered the national drink of Brazil. It is commonly used as a base for creating the cocktail Caipirinha. It is a sugarcane distillate and resembles white rum in a lighter form. 

It is entirely made from the juice of freshly harvested sugarcane. The final product is fermented and filtered before being packaged. The brief maturation in special tanks significantly softens its taste.
