The TL-480HD monitor series has been specifically designed for use as monitors in film and television production applications and HD video capture with DSLR cameras. There are four models, differing in the available video signal connectivity. The most advanced model features connections for HDMI, HD/SD-SDI, composite video, and will pass through audio embedded in SDI, with on-screen measurement and includes a built-in converter for producing SDI signal from the HDMI input.
The 4.8-inch LCD monitors have high resolution, a wide viewing angle, and are equipped with a foldable and removable hood, which also serves to protect the LCD screen when closed.
The monitors are particularly useful when used with cameras that do not have zoom capability. The screen can zoom in on different parts of the image for pixel-level resolution and check image details. Additionally, the screen can switch to monochrome and the sharpness can be adjusted. The TL-480HD series features rotary controls and switches for controlling the most commonly used functions and settings.
On the front of the monitor, below the screen, there are seven buttons for various settings and controls. On the right side of the monitor, there are three buttons for adjusting sharpness, saturation, contrast, and brightness.
On the back, depending on the model, there are BNC sockets for composite video and SDI input and output, as well as standard HDMI ports. The monitor can be powered by a 12 V source or via the provided power adapter.
