I've had it for about a year and I can call it a "beast of a phone." The cameras are excellent, especially the telephoto (very nice portraits and macro shots) with great separation and natural blurring. The processor is blazing fast, hasn't shown any flaws (only gets warm maybe during video recording). The size is ideal for my hand so that's another '+'. The 90W charging is a lifesaver. However, it has one weak point, the operating system... It just doesn't... coming from a Samsung S20 FE, I never expected to check daily to see if a new update is out. Hyper OS 2, in my opinion, made things a mess, they add and remove features (for no reason), change where things are, the always on display is always on for 10 minutes and then constantly scans to see if you're looking at it to show it again (cool but I suspect it drains the battery), and it's barely customizable (you can't find nice custom always ons from a store like on Samsung). Google apps are at best mediocre, the calendar is far inferior to Samsung's, and in general I notice inconsistencies in app updating.
Also, to delete an app from the "home screen" you just delete the shortcut. You have to find it in the apps to uninstall it. Finally, I really miss "Samsung Pass"... There's a similar app via Nord VPN (can't remember the name) but I don't prefer it... It's been a nice experience so far, I expected it to be "not that bad" when I decided to "move" from an ecosystem company like Samsung. The operating system was much more refined, definitely simpler, but as it turns out all those extra features are fun only for the first few months of use. After that, at least for me, I tend to seek the simplicity and consistency of good software.

Coming from an Oppo Reno10 Pro, I love it! I'm very picky with my phones for several reasons, but mostly the camera. I'd like to point out a few things:

> The camera quality is crazy. Typically phones have some limitations in quality and stabilization, bokeh etc. This is by far the best I've come across!

While I am a trained photographer I can't be bothered with carrying an actual camera with me all the time. I usually sacrifice quality for the sake of being able to snap moments anytime. With this phone's camera, complaints have been fully eradicated.

> Front camera is good. Typically, a lot of android phones will give a washed-out and blurry appearance for a front camera; this is not so severe with this phone. Front camera has good quality, colors aren't too bad, front flash is nice. I much prefer it to my little old iPhone 8 and the Reno10 Pro

> I haven't encountered this camera fog issue some people report. However, my personal input is as follows: for how good the camera is, I'm willing to keep a little silica pack in the case any humidity is an issue in the future.

> The editing software + edit options built-in for the Gallery app are CRAZYYY. The attached pic was a quick snap at midnight. Editing is an absolute joy here and it reminds me of my beloved little Lightroom and PS features...

> Night mode, for once, is actually really impressive. See attached image for a pic of my computer lights at night (so cute). This was also taken with the manual controls which I love

> The size is perfect! I hate phones that are abnormally tall or too wide or too narrow, the hold feels weird and the display is too big. This is PERFECT. Its display zoom options are also incredible, so I was able to:
1) Set the display zoom to a not-too-big, not-too-small setting without reaching boomer levels of zoom
2) Adjusted the text to a font and size I actually liked.

> Fast charging. It also includes a hibernation mode which I very much appreciate

> Great storage space and even better RAM. Fast, reliable, can handle a few games.

> Compared to pretty much any Oppo phone ever it's marginally easier to find phone cases (thank God because I was going crazy)

Now, for only a few negative pointers:

- When using the fast charging feature, it Does heat up. No denying this. It heats up quite a lot. But, on the bright side, it doesn't take long for it to charge so it gets to cool down fast.

- Compared to my previous Reno10 Pro the homescreen icon customization options are a Littllleee limited. HOWEVER the available themes for customization are by far superior.

- QR code scanner isn't built into the camera app.... Not so tragic but it may matter for some people so I mention it.

- The built in clock app doesn't support saving preset timers. It's not that deep but I know this was real useful in my Oppo phone so, again, it might matter for some people.

The price dropped criminally fast right after I bought this though which I am slightly bummed about. But I'm enjoying the phone so much, I can't complain.

Well guys, after 1 month of use, I am really very satisfied. I am writing this review mainly for those who are considering it but are afraid, not because it is Xiaomi, not because the cameras are blurry, etc. First of all, the phone performs exceptionally well given its specs, but I won't dwell too much on that because many phones have specs; the issue is how it performs in use. Personally, I have never had a single problem, no freezes, no bugs, nothing at all, and the truth is that I am used to Xiaomi's UI since I previously had the Poco F3, but some people don’t like it, which is understandable. Although now, the way it has evolved, the UI resembles iOS more than Android, but we can overlook that. As for the battery, I saw some comments saying that their phone shut down after 5 hours. My phone goes on the charger at around 3 in the morning with 25-30% battery left, so I don’t know where those comments are coming from. My usage is 8 hours at work with data, location, GPS, and always at full brightness since I am on the road. I might spend a little time on social media, but generally, it’s mainly for GPS. The rest of the day is normal stuff: a bit of social media, a photo here, a video there. Overall, like everyone else, my phone lasts me about 1.5 days easily. Now let’s talk about the cameras, and I will start with the issue that you may have also seen regarding the blurriness in the lenses, which indeed exists, and I almost didn’t buy it for that reason since you are spending 700+ euros. However, I spoke with Xiaomi's representative in Greece, InfoQuest, and they told me that they recognize it as a problem and that if it happens within the first 2 weeks (which you would likely experience in the first few days), they will replace it immediately without much hassle. So, don’t be too afraid of it, although I believe that the first batches came out like that because those who had this problem were 5-6 months ago. But I can't swear to that; I just want to say that the warranty covers you. Beyond that, the cameras are really very good; you have surely seen samples in both photos and videos. The sound is very good and loud, and the build quality is also very good. The only negative it does have is that, yes, it does heat up a bit. I didn’t experience this in the extreme heat; that’s true, I got it at the end of August. But yes, if you play games on the phone, you will feel it, but with a case, I can't say it will bother you particularly. In conclusion, why I wrote my life story here, don’t be afraid of the phone; what it offers at this price, I honestly didn’t find anything comparable, maybe the OnePlus 12, although it is a bit more expensive. For me, the phone is amazing; I hope it continues like this for the coming years.

The company's flagship phone, the simplest version of the Xiaomi 14 series, and with very good performance nonetheless, let's move on to the positives and negatives.
Positives:
- The phone comes equipped with the Snapdragon 8 gen 3, a beast in its field and a dominant processor in the market until the next generation is announced. Its performance is amazing as one would expect from a Snapdragon processor.
- The phone comes equipped with a camera system from Leica. Excellent performance in my opinion, especially if you know how to use it properly, you can take very powerful photos and if you are a fan of editing, you will appreciate the features that Xiaomi offers you in this area. The telephoto lens takes photos of very good quality and resolution on par with the regular camera, while it can also serve as a macro lens in many cases due to the detail it provides. The ultra-wide is very strong in bright landscapes, however, it loses a bit in indoor low-light conditions. Also, the optical zoom offers a satisfactory result up to x30, while after that it gradually starts to lose quality, but not in a very bothersome way. Video recording is excellent, it doesn't falter anywhere. Finally, the additional features that the Xiaomi 14 provides in the system will seem quite useful, especially if you like to experiment.
- The screen is amazing, a 6.36-inch OLED panel, with a resolution of 2670×1200p and very nice colors. Quite comfortable at 120Hz and brightness that reaches 1200nits in typical conditions, enough to see under sunlight.
- The size in my opinion is a positive aspect, quite convenient and easy to use with one hand. Although I was hesitant at first due to the small size, I ultimately settled on this choice and I am fully satisfied. I don't believe it will be difficult for anyone, it's purely a matter of habit. Additionally, the design gives you the premium feel you seek in phones of this category.
- Super-fast charging at 90W from 0-100 in 30-35 minutes. At the same time, it supports wireless charging at 60W for those who need it, as well as reverse charging at 10W. It's a lifesaver in many cases, especially when you don't have time and need to leave. The battery is quite satisfactory, with continuous use it can last up to 10-12 hours depending on usage, while with very light use, its life ranges within one to one and a half days. However, don't forget that when you get something, you have to sacrifice something. So I believe that battery aging will knock on your door within two years.

Negatives:
- The Xiaomi 14 may come equipped with the most powerful processor on the market, however, we wouldn't say it is adequately prepared to support it as its hardware lags behind quite a bit.
And what do I mean by that? The Snapdragon 8 gen 3 is a very powerful chip that generates huge amounts of heat and unfortunately, Xiaomi has not managed to contain it to a great extent so that it is not noticeable. This means that during use, you will often feel the temperature of your phone rising, but not to an excessive degree that you can't endure. I think it's a sacrifice worth making.

- The battery, although quite decent, unfortunately cannot meet some of the phone's demands, especially when it comes to using the camera for a very long period of time. You will see your battery dramatically decrease, so I would suggest taking some breaks and of course staying away from the sun.

-The software is considered quite inferior to that of competing companies, however, I don't believe it will cause you any problems. It certainly doesn't compare to Samsung, but you can't say it's the worst either.

Final conclusion: The Xiaomi 14 is a very good phone that can satisfy even the most demanding users, however, you should take the above factors into account and after weighing the positives and negatives, judge whether it is worth the purchase.

Having owned a flagship phone for the first time for about 1.5 months, and being quite knowledgeable in the field of mobile phones, I will try to help as much as possible those of you who are hesitating about purchasing it. I will start with what I consider the most important, the camera. Except for the selfie, I really have no complaints about the other cameras. They are excellent. Comparing it in various lighting conditions with the iPhone 15 of a close friend, I can say that the colors are much more realistic, with more details and reliable. However, knowing its Achilles' heel, the selfie camera, I bought it. I wish I could say the same, but it does fall significantly short in this area, especially compared to the quality of all the other aspects. I will quickly skip over the processor and software; I have nothing to say. I have absolutely no complaints. The screen is very high quality, with impressive colors and amazing resolution. Now, about the speakers... unfortunately, I expected them to be louder during both calls and general use. The sound is clear and decent, but the truth is I wanted them a bit louder without actually being so weak that it bothers me to the point of considering it a significant complaint. In summary, it is indeed an excellent phone, with a very good camera (not the selfie), screen, software, and overall it is worth the money. You spend 750 euros and you would spend it again. It is worth it...

After almost half a year of having it, I want to add two more things. I will start with the positives by saying that the selfie is much better than I thought. (I had a screen protector without a hole for the camera). As for the negatives, unfortunately, the battery is weak. Of course, having such a powerful phone in terms of performance, processor, camera, etc., it is logical. All of this consumes a lot of energy. With the usage I give it (social media, YouTube, Google Maps, camera, and whatever else I need), it does not last me a whole day. Even with 100% battery at 7 in the morning, it will need charging by noon around 4

Great device but I changed 3 devices to DOA because they had lens fogging. 2 white defective, 1 black functional in the end.

The white ones with the IMEI I saw were much older devices so something was going on...

The black one, much more recent production, had one spider web on the first day which never bothered the screen afterwards. After that, it writes 2 hours 8k in a row in cold and hot weather and doesn't do anything, it took a serious 7-day test.

I won't say much, Xiaomi's crazy scam should take a stand and take back all the phones with issues without much fuss, the least it should do is not to make 1000 euros a small amount of money...

I had the Xiaomi Mi9 for 5 years, I had drunk its blood, I make 4k60 videos 2 or 3 times a week, so whoever knows, knows... the only issue was its battery, of course!

The Xiaomi 14 really kills everything in a compact device... I hope it stays that way for quite a while!

Really, whoever gets it, only from an official store, to have peace of mind if they find lens fogging.

Nevertheless, it is a serious construction, the cameras are killer, except for the wide angle which doesn't impress me that much.

Hyper OS will surely improve in future updates, I believe that's how software and Xiaomi go

For the past 2 years I have been constantly changing flagship phones from the 3 well-known companies in Greece
Xiaomi-apple-samsung
Having gone through many devices such as
S22/s23 ultra
Iphone 12 pro max/iphone 15
Xiaomi 12/xiaomi 12 pro

I can say that I really consider it the most honest as a mobile phone compared to the others
What do I mean? (For the iPhone friends)
Clearly apple has very good quality but it cannot give 60Hz refresh rates on €900 phones, such small batteries with slow charging, very good operating system of course but personally I think it is not worth it with the upgrades that Android devices have received (the software has become much cleaner) and besides that it must stop the complex that is so closed as software.

As for samsung.
Last android phone before the xiaomi 14. I had much higher expectations from the device because of the name and the price since it was €1500 from the Greek representation
1 (many bugs)
2 (every time you took out the s-pen from the phone it smelled burnt)
3) issue many times in calls as when you put and remove the call on hold the line was dead (many software issues that I will not analyze 1/1)

So after 1.5 years I returned to Xiaomi flagship.
I understood that personally I will not change it again because it has taken much larger dimensions and quality from its competition in Android devices. (They cannot be compared with the iPhone purely because of the software and mentality, it is different that some users do not like apple)

Leica sensors that have nothing to do with the Sony that the xiaomi 12 pro had and especially with the dark lenses of the samsung competitor

90watt charging from 0-100 in 34 minutes (measured with a timer, of course I had open forgotten data)

And the most basic thing, the stupid Miui is gone and the Hyper os came much more relaxed and cleaner also from its predecessor.

I have seen reviews about moisture on the lenses and many who are thinking of not buying the phone because of this.
I must say that no device is perfect but it does not mean that all the pieces produced by each company in each device will produce moisture.

Apple on the other hand with the 15 series has issues with overheating and many times will have restarts on much more expensive devices (15 pro max)

As for samsung I don't even discuss it
So my personal opinion. Get whichever phone you think suits you and do not be afraid (if it will cause a problem)

No way for this money! A fake thing, zero quality! The only thing worth it is the processor and nothing else! I had the 13t pro, I gave it away and got this one and regretted it! Get the 13t pro instead of this one. For those of you who didn't like my review, when the lenses fog up, sit with the hairdryer to defog them! A €1000 phone should not have such issues! Let me talk about the brightness that claims to reach 3000 nits, not even close, it has some issue because when you are outside in the sun, the automatic brightness does not go all the way up, I don't know if it's a sensor issue... The 13t pro was much brighter without any issues under the sun. Zero build quality! The back feels like plastic (black color) and the aluminum frame is nothing special, it doesn't give any sense of sturdiness. As for the cameras that caused so much hype, no, they are not what they say... The 13t pro was the top for me. We didn't know to spend so much money and hang it on a hanger to dry the cameras... Big fail! Oh, I forgot to mention, when you are in the settings menu and scroll at 120hz, the letters seem to drag along with the scrolling! What is this for €1000! Xiaomi's big failure, I regret my money, what a shame!

I have it in my hands for 2 days.
All its features are very good.
Very nice size, it's not the 6.7" which is huge in the hand and pocket.
Fast, trouble-free, good cameras, very good video, incredible Dolby Atmos sound that is a real experience.
What bothered me? As soon as I got it, I went out at night to take my dog for a walk and I opened it to shoot a video and I noticed that suddenly the image started to blur. What I found out is that due to the temperature difference between the lens and the external temperature of 12 to 18 degrees Celsius, condensation is created inside the lens glass, resulting in not being able to shoot a video for more than a minute in an outdoor environment unless it is put in a pocket, car, or house.
A big flaw in my opinion from Xiaomi.
Under the same conditions, I tested the iPhone 13 Pro Max and had no problem.
Of course, this won't happen in the summer, but if you travel abroad to a colder country or when it gets cold, you can't operate it normally.
I am seriously considering returning it because it also costs 1000 euros.
For those who are considering it, read forums where they say that the same thing happened with the older 12 and 13 models.
