50W 8 Ohm resistor with heatsink for eliminating problems related to using LED bulbs in cars with CANBUS. The use of the resistor is often necessary even with bulbs labeled CANBUS in cars where the CAN system is particularly sensitive, such as Audi A4 B7. It is also required in VAG group cars after 2009, such as Octavia 2 FL (>2009), Leon 2 (>2010), Golf6, etc.
The resistor can be used to trick the indicator lights in older cars, eliminating the rapid flashing of the indicator after switching to LED bulbs, as well as to prevent burnout of the third light after using LED bulbs for brakes/position.
After the resistor is applied, cheaper LED bulbs can be used without errors appearing.
Application:
- DRL*
- turn signals
- reverse lights
- brakes
- position
Resistor for bulbs up to 55W (this is the power of a traditional bulb) when replacing bulbs up to 21W, a 25W 6 Ohm resistor should be used. It is installed outside the bulb.
