The New Allegro A1 is the first of three levels of a light and communicative Italian course for adults. It aims to get students speaking from the early lessons, without neglecting moments of reflection and reinforcement of the structures they have learned.

It places particular emphasis on the development of oral skills, through numerous group and pair activities. It has a clear, systematic structure and gradual grammatical progression.

Compared to the previous edition, the New Allegro A1 features:

• Two additional units to ensure a more gradual progression towards A2
• Updated lyrics and sound
• Additional mini-dialogue models that help students communicate with each other from the start
• A greater number of activities for developing written production from the first unit
• Brief reviews with new easy games
• Short tips with learning strategies for students in the Workbook
• 28 pages of additional activities for reviewing and deepening the lexical, communicative, and cultural content of the units
• A new graphic design
