The Lancom 1803VA is a router with a built-in modem. The router is a device to which other devices, such as a computer, mobile phone, and television, connect either wirelessly or via cable, and it distributes internet access. This access is obtained through the built-in modem.
It connects to the 4G network, offering significantly higher speeds than 3G. To operate at these speeds, corresponding coverage from the mobile network in the usage area is required.
It supports VDSL2, which is the most modern internet connection technology, offering higher download and upload speeds compared to ADSL2+. It can support triple play services such as television, telephony, and internet, provided the connection technology from the provider is equivalent.
The device has the capability to configure a VPN (Virtual Private Network) so that the traffic from all devices on the network passes through it. The VPN acts as an intermediary between the user and the rest of the internet, providing anonymity and access to geographically restricted content.
With MAC address filtering, it allows specific devices to connect based on their unique MAC address, blocking any device that has not been designated as accepted.
