Watercolor paints are water-based colors used for painting on paper. They come in the form of dry buttons, which, when wetted with water, almost immediately produce ready-to-use colors.

ASTRA school watercolors consist of high-quality, finely ground pigments bound with a water-soluble binder. In addition to pigments and binders, school watercolors contain certain amounts of fillers that cause the color to become dull as it dries. Thanks to this, by applying the color more thickly, you can paint with techniques similar to gouache and in greater dilutions, with techniques typical of watercolors.

Watercolors can be used in combination techniques with ASTRA tempera paints, poster paints, and crayons. ASTRA watercolors are primarily intended for children and school youth starting their art education.

Thanks to their shape, they can be easily transported, e.g., in students' school bags, and stored for a long time without fear of changing their properties.
