    A fundamental flaw, I would say, in the construction is that the thickness of the spike is 8mm, while in older professional ovens (I mean with three tiers, which hold about 90 kg of bread), and when I say older I mean before '80, the opening size of the socket is 7mm!! It should have been 7mm to fit more! (We haven't attempted to enlarge the opening with a drill yet, which is probably where we will end up, because we are searching and we can't find anywhere anymore with a 7mm spike!)
