Laser motion sensor.
The DRL-12 is a laser distance sensor designed for controlling lighting in hallways and staircases.
- Precise detection adjustment: from 0.1 to 2 m.
- Direct load: up to 50 W/12 V DC.
- Cooperation: with AS-225 controllers.
- Built-in brightness sensor.
Operation:
The operating principle of the Time of Flight distance sensor involves emitting a beam of light and measuring the delay of the returning light due to reflection from an obstacle. This allows for accurate estimation of the object's distance. This distance is then compared to the defined detection range. If something appears within a distance smaller than the specified value, the light is activated. This solution works perfectly for activating lighting circuits, for example in open staircases, where it is important for the sensor to detect presence only on the stairs and ignore anything else.
